Be careful what you Twitter

Interesting story about a "social media" specialist who made the mistake of Twittering an unkind comment about a client's hometown, just after he stepped off the plane for a meeting with that client...

  1. That's a great story! I just started Twitter, mostly b/c people have talked about it in T&T classes (and everywhere else lately). I don't see myself updating it regularly, esp. b/c 1) I don't have mobile access to the internet, and 2) I don't think people really care what I'm doing every moment of the day. I do update my status on MySpace and Facebook regularly, but I'm there for other purposes (social communication, blogs, music), whereas Twitter is ONLY for updates. Anyway, I enjoyed the story; thanks for posting it. Leandra (my tag will say Earthling until after our presentation--haha). Leandra
